Therapy
Life can be overwhelming. Sometimes it's messy. Therapy can help you overcome challenges, support you through difficult life transitions, help you process emotions and understand your reactions. Counselling gives you a space to get to know and understand yourself better. It gives you clarity and direction when you feel lost, connecting you back to yourself.
What I offer
Counselling sessions are:
- 1 hour-long
- weekly or fortnightly
- in my own therapy room at Barnfield Crescent, Exeter
- online (please email for online session availability)
- can be a regular slot or allow for flexible schedules.
Some of my clients like to meet for 90 minute sessions every two weeks - this is also an option.
How long
The length of the therapeutic journey will be different for everyone. We can discuss this in the first session. If you have a set time-frame or budget, we can work to this.
Many clients choose not to set a timeframe and to see how they go. Some choose to reduce the frequency of sessions over time, moving from weekly to fortnightly to monthly.
Qualifications
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I'm also an accredited Senior Coach (EMCC Global). Find out more about my Coaching service and more about how I work.
Meeting me
Our first meeting will be a free 20 minute online introduction call. This will give you a chance to meet me, ask any questions, discuss practicalities and for us to start looking at what you'd like to get from counselling. First meetings are always an online video call. Contact me to book

How I work
I believe events in the past can influence the way a person thinks, feels and behaves in the present. Using tools such as timelines and narrative therapy can help you explore these past stories and notice patterns of behaviour.
Our response to stress (when our body goes into survival or fight/flight/freeze/fawn mode) can affect our behaviour and relationships. Together we can start to notice these reactions and find tools to calm.
